Hello friends – welcome to Away Together! We’re Nik and Allie, a US-based couple with a passion for travel and adventure!
We met in 2015 while finishing our graduate degrees at the University of Arkansas, and travel has been part of our relationship basically since the beginning! Only four weeks after meeting, Nik left for a 32 day trip through Europe. We walked down the aisle in 2017 (our best trip yet) and took an epic honeymoon that has had us itching to get away together as much as we can ever since.
Together, we’ve traveled to 10 countries (Nik way more) and 17 US states while working full time as marketers in Northwest Arkansas. We started Away Together to tell our story, share the tips & tricks we’ve learned along the way, and hopefully inspire others to get out there and see the world!
How Can We Help You?
Travel can take many forms and it means something different to everyone.
Sometimes travel, especially international travel, seems too big, too hard, and too unobtainable. We are here to help show you that this isn’t true – not even close! While everyone’s situations are different, there are ways to make travel happen.
Away Together is meant to help you unlock those paths to traveling more often, make the planning process easy, and ensure you enjoy the experience all along the way!

- Travel Tips – Informative articles about where to go, what to do, how to put an incredible itinerary together, choose the right gear, and in general, travel like a pro.
- Travel Hacking – Info about how to afford travel, the best credit cards for travelers, finding cheap flights, and in general, how to get more bang for your buck.
- Personal Stories – This is where we occasionally recount our own adventures and show you we’re real people who used to only dream of epic travel – and now we do it!
